Job summary

Swift Transportation in Lewiston, ID is hiring a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostic analysis, and repairs on tractors, trailers, and associated equipment. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with an hourly pay range of $24 to $30 depending on experience, and opportunities for overtime and benefits.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a comprehensive background check, and pre-employment drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals.
• Ability to use diagnostic software used on tractors/trailers.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment per OEM/DOT specs.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment; perform complex repairs as needed.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance and related services.
