Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Tico is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels / All Shifts at our site in Savannah, GA. This position is typically an 8-hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits, sign on bonus, and lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are trucks built at our plant in Ridgeland, S.C. They all have the same power package and driveline, making training easier for mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DPF, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services.
  • Utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  • Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and repair times.
  • Review, complete, or assign repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with standards.
  • Follow safety procedures and communicate repair needs effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess preferably 2+ years of experience in:

  • Heavy truck repair
  • Heavy, medium-duty, or farm equipment repair
  • Forklift or construction equipment repair
  • Automotive maintenance and repair
  • Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program

Good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic are preferred qualities.

Must maintain your own tool set (company-provided tool program available).
