Job summary

Transdev in Cocoa, FL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment. The role includes paid CDL training to help you advance, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Competitive pay between $24.00–$30.00 per hour, with CDL starters at $26.00/hr, and a benefits package including vacation, paid sick days, holidays, and comprehensive health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or combination of education & experience.
• Process, or willing to obtain Commercial Driver’s License within the first year of employment is strongly preferred.
• Paid CDL training is available for employees.
• ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s tool set.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches, etc.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly & maintain records of all work completed, including parts and supplies used.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
