Diesel Mechanic Needed for Growing Dealership!

Join Bowser Automotive Inc as a Diesel Service Technician in Pleasant Hills. The Diesel Tech is responsible for repairs, inspections, and maintenance of diesel vehicles including trucks, buses, bulldozers, cranes, and more. Must maintain inspection and emission licenses to comply with current mandates and technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Test vehicle parts and systems for correct operation.
• Identify mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough vehicle checks.
• Perform maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, transmissions, and work on electronic and air conditioning systems.
• Replace, repair, and retro-fit worn parts.
• Assist Service Manager and Advisors with customer interactions.
• Explain automotive issues to customers when needed.
• Maintain required training and own tools.
• Follow government regulations and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid state inspection and emission licenses.
• Valid CDL driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to multitask and exercise good judgment.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for about 8 hours daily.
