Qualifications

• Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, driveline systems, and fleet equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and determine effective repair solutions.
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and workmanship standards.
• Willingness to mentor junior mechanics and share technical knowledge with teammates.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and post-trip inspections on Porta Kleen and PKX fleet vehicles.
• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair vacuum trucks, hydro excavation units, septic service trucks, roll-off trucks, and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline issues using testing tools and repair procedures.
• Repair and replace major components including diesel engines, tires, brakes, clutches, pumps, and related systems.
• Complete engine overhauls and major driveline repairs following standards.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate repair needs with supervisors.
