Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Hermon, Maine.

  • Hourly Pay: $36.50 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 at 30 days and $2,500 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
  • Hours: Tuesday - Thursday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm; Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational/technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas/diesel engines
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred
  • Other certifications as required by location
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to perform all T3 tasks
  • Advanced vehicle maintenance skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability for shift work, weekends, and on-call duties
  • Prefer ASE certifications in various specialties
  • Proficiency with shop computers and diagnostic equipment
  • Minimum tool requirements
  • Ability to road test vehicles
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
Driving Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, background check
