Position: Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain, and repair machinery and vehicles. You will ensure the functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and machines safely.

Location: 4036 Edison Ave, Ft. Myers, FL 33901

Responsibilities:

1. Build and assemble machines or components per requirements.
2. Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, and run diagnostics to identify issues.
3. Maintain logs and report on work performed.
4. Perform repairs to maximize reliability.
5. Troubleshoot problems and resolve promptly.
6. Conduct thorough maintenance on machinery and systems.
7. Lubricate components and replenish fluids.
8. Advise on maintenance and preventive measures.
9. Undertake additional duties such as hydraulic repairs or vehicle painting.
10. Perform roadside repairs as needed.
11. Experience with heavy equipment is preferred.

Requirements & Skills:

• 8+ years of proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, shop tools, and measurement tools.
• Ability to follow procedures and read schematics.
• Basic hand tools required.
• Commitment to safety guidelines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical strength and stamina.
• Positive attitude and good attendance.
• High school diploma preferred; vocational or apprenticeship certification is a plus.
• ASE certification is preferred.
