Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and repair on diesel tractors and trailers to ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and safety standards
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, electrical issues, brake and tire problems, and perform welding/fabrication as needed
• Monitor and manage fleet maintenance costs and implement cost-saving measures
• Serve as on-call mechanic for breakdowns within a 100-mile radius of the facility
• Work independently and proactively to maintain high standards of fleet safety, readiness, and reliability
• Document all maintenance and repairs accurately and maintain service records

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience, including diagnostics, hydraulics, welding, and electrical systems
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle compliance
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and resolve breakdowns quickly
• Clean driving record required
• CDL Class A license is a plus, but not required
• Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary
