Job summary

Gator Dredging seeks an experienced Construction Equipment/Diesel Mechanic in Florida to service and repair heavy trucks and equipment. The role covers hydraulics, air brakes, A/C, gas and diesel engines, drive trains, and electrical systems.

Must have 3+ years of proven diesel mechanics experience and provide your own tools. Starting hourly pay ranges from $28.00 to $35.00, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in diesel mechanics and maintenance of construction equipment.
• Must provide own tools besides specialty tools like a welder, compressor, etc...
• Current Driver's License; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and adjust gas & diesel engines.
• Repair and modify hydraulic systems and their components.
• Repair air brakes.
• Repair drive trains, electrical systems, A/C and pneumatics.
• Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate repair schedule.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and make necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily.
• Operate and maintain the service truck.
