General Description

NES is looking for Heavy Duty Mechanics to work on the North Slope of Alaska at Prudhoe Bay, and the Western North Slope

Heavy Duty Mechanics are primarily responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment including Tractors, Trailers, Super Suckers, Vac Trucks, Dozers, Excavators, Loaders, Drills and other equipment.

Repair Work will either be in the shop or in the field with arctic conditions. Other duties may be assigned as required including driving equipment, yard cleanup, or roustabout duties.

This position is on the North Slope of Alaska which is an Arctic Environment. Work rotation is planned to be 4 weeks on 2 weeks off, but may vary depending on project requirements.

Essential Duties and Job Requirements

· Repair and maintain equipment as directed including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs.

· Use mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment as needed.

· Knowledge of heavy equipment operations, repair, and maintenance procedures and processes.

· Perform other duties as required

· Comply with company and customer policies and procedures.

· Report all incidents involving injuries, spills, equipment malfunction or damage to the supervisor.

· Support zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

Minimum Experience

· 5 years heavy duty mechanic

· Experience with repair of tractors, loaders, dozers, excavators and other heavy equipment.

· Arctic oilfield experience is .
