GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic in Fort Wayne to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty trucks and equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, order parts, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Starting pay up to $30 per hour with OT after 40 hours and a 1pm-11:30pm shift. Includes benefits after probation, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, PTO, 401K and health coverage; on-site training and safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year diesel mechanic experience.
• Experience with diagnostic software is a plus.
• Must be computer literate and willing to learn new software systems.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas and electrically operated equipment.
• Complete reports and work orders; procure parts for repairs.
• Plan and schedule repairs using M5 planner; coordinate parts.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; assist in training new staff.
