TruckPro in Richland, MS is seeking a General Shop Mechanic responsible for repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to specific customer and industry-standard specifications.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Perform repairs on customer vehicles and trailers
• Perform basic welding functions
• Inform customers/managers of completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
• Monitor profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining quality; minimize warranty claims and re-work
• Submit work orders for invoicing
• Maintain inventory and supplies
• Prepare list of required replacement parts
• Keep work area clean and maintain equipment; adhere to all environmental, health, and safety standards

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Associate’s degree or technical certificate in heavy-duty mechanics
• Two years of diesel mechanic experience within the heavy-duty industry
• Own hand tools or willingness to purchase tools (TruckPro offers a tool purchase reimbursement program)
• Ability to lift parts up to 50+ lbs
• Valid driver's license and/or CDL with a good driving record (less than 14 points)

Physical Requirements:

• The work is active
• Ability to lift, pull, and move heavy truck parts exceeding 50 lbs
