Job summary

Autonomy Staffing is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our client in Ladson, SC. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems across various vehicles and equipment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues with tools, keep accurate service records, and follow safety protocols while collaborating with a team to meet high standards of quality. A valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification in diesel mechanics is a plus.
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and troubleshooting methods.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Good communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines and related components.
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues or required repairs.
Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.
Collaborate with other team members to meet job requirements and ensure quality work.
