Job summary

Chaney Enterprises in Greensboro, NC is seeking a skilled Mechanic to keep our fleet and equipment in peak condition. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and various heavy equipment including hydraulic systems, air compressors, and welding gear.

The role includes diagnosing issues, coordinating repairs with the Manager and team, supervising a Mechanic's Helper, and completing maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify issues and coordinate repairs with the Manager and team
• Supervise and guide a Mechanic's Helper
• Conduct required inspections and complete all maintenance documentation accurately
• Respond to road calls and on-site equipment breakdowns as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations; report concerns promptly
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $22.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Summary/Objective:

Join our team as a skilled Mechanic responsible for keeping our fleet and equipment running at peak performance. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of automotive and stationary equipment — including trucks, tractor-trailers, heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, air compressors, and welding equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and stationary equipment to company standards
• Proactively identify issues and coordinate repairs with the Manager and team
• Supervise and guide a Mechanic's Helper
• Conduct required inspections and complete all maintenance documentation accurately
