Job summary

Prairie Field Services is hiring a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic in Casper, WY. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep trucks and trailers operating safely and efficiently.

You will perform oil changes, inspections, and minor repairs, while maintaining detailed maintenance records. The position offers a stable, full-time schedule with a safety-first culture and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures for Class A tractors and trailers.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet company background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with operations to maximize fleet uptime

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs.
• Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
