Job summary

Atlantic Emergency Solutions seeks a qualified diesel mechanic to service fire trucks and ambulances in a structured shop environment in McConnelsville, OH. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with optional overtime and paid holidays, plus a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

You will inspect and repair complex diesel systems, document work performed, and collaborate with teammates to keep emergency vehicles ready for service.

Qualifications

• Diesel mechanics experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role and pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on fire trucks and ambulances.
• Accurately documenting repairs, labor time, and parts usage.
• Completing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for service.
• Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Assisting other technicians as needed and working as part of a team.
