Job summary

Atlantic Emergency Solutions in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service fire trucks and ambulances. You will inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance in our clean, well-equipped shops with a Monday–Friday schedule and optional overtime.

The role requires experience with heavy-duty or emergency vehicles, a valid driver's license, and the ability to meet physical demands.

Qualifications

• Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on fire trucks and ambulances
• Accurately documenting repairs, labor time, and parts usage
• Completing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for service
• Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following OSHA and company safety standards
• Assisting other technicians as needed and working as part of a team
