Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management at the Reyes Beverage Group / Crest Beverage facility in San Diego is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to maintain and repair fleet tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. This hands-on role requires accurate diagnostics, documentation, and adherence to DOT/OSHA safety standards, with a Monday-Wednesday-Friday night shift and pay up to $39 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in diesel fleet maintenance.
• Must possess own tools.
• CDL license A is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic technology when applicable.
• Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT/OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring safety program compliance.

Join the Reyes Fleet Management team located at our Reyes Beverage Group / Crest Beverage facility in San Diego.

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A for our growing fleet shop who distributes many iconic brands.

Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 11:00am-9:30pm

Pay: up to $39.00/hr

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
• Some travel may be required

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
