Job summary

DuraFleet Columbus is seeking a dependable mobile fleet technician to perform on-site repairs and maintenance for commercial clients in the Columbus area. You will diagnose problems, communicate with customers, and handle a variety of field repairs with independence.

This full-time role offers overtime opportunities, weekly pay, and growth potential as you expand into advanced diagnostics and semi-truck work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical experience (diesel preferred).
• Diagnostic proficiency and scan tool experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• History of light, medium, and heavy-duty truck and trailer repairs.
• Ability to work independently and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and troubleshooting in the field.
• PM services and roadside repairs.
• Brakes, no-starts, electrical, and general repairs.

About the Job

We’re hiring a dependable mobile fleet technician who is familiar with diesel & gas vehicles to perform on-site repairs and maintenance for commercial clients throughout the Columbus area.

This is an independent field position for someone who can diagnose problems, communicate with customers, and handle a variety of repairs in the field.

Typical Work Includes

Schedule

• Full-time with overtime opportunities
• Occasional weekend work
• On-call for after-hours jobs as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 4 years of mechanical experience (diesel preferred)
• Diagnostic proficiency and scan tool experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• History of light, medium, and heavy-duty truck and trailer repairs
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication and professionalism
• Must supply your own hand tools
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Background and/or drug screening may be required

Bonus Experience

• ASE certifications
