Job summary

Pinsly Railroad Company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment, with approximately 50% focus on fleet and 50% on locomotive diesel work. Strong troubleshooting, precise documentation, and regulatory compliance are essential.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostic testing, safety inspections, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and locomotives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or ASE certification preferred.
• Experience as a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and diesel equipment.
• Complete maintenance documentation in accordance with DOT/FMCSA recordkeeping.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with FRA/ FMCSA requirements.
• Operate diagnostic testing and testing equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and perform after-hours repairs when needed.
