As a Diesel Mechanic - Experienced (Service Tech IV), you'll perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited supervision in a safe, professional manner. You will have opportunities for growth and leadership within our Service Department, while providing exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment using independent judgment.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance as needed; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians.
• Document work performed accurately and timely.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, schematics, and diagrams.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals policies.
