  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends off

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Up to one year of mechanical experience working with diesel engines preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn equipment maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Professional representation of Ryder
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Good performance and attendance record
  • Personal accountability and results-oriented
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, and shop systems preferred
  • Valid CDL Class A, preferred
Regulated Tech Requirements
  • Must obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and road test
  • Background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years

Additional requirements may vary by location.

Responsibilities
  • Move heavy-duty vehicles, wash, fuel, and record activities
  • Perform multi-point inspections and report issues
  • Maintain fuel island and perform minor facility maintenance
  • Complete technician training programs and assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
