  • Diesel Tech Trainee Positions pay weekly
  • Hourly pay: $22.36 per hour
  • Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
  • Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
  • Hours: First shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Zero to one year of mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • Customer service skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems (preferred)

  • Beginner knowledge of machines, tools, and shop management systems (preferred)
  • Valid CDL Class A (preferred)

Regulated Tech Requirements:

  • Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and road test
  • Background check including drug and alcohol verification for the past 3 years

Additional requirements may vary by location.
