Job summary

Randstad USA in Newton, KS, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a full-time, direct-hire role (M-F, 8-5). Pay is $23-$35/hr straight hourly, with medical and dental benefits after 90 days. Hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with occasional overtime in winter.

The role involves full-spectrum repair across gas vehicles and heavy diesels, diagnostics using Mitchell 1 and ShopKey, and logging hours/parts for billing. Perks include a summer schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in diesel/mechanical work.
• Experience with commercial shop environments and documenting billable hours.

Responsibilities

• Full-Spectrum Repair: bumper-to-bumper work across Ford, Chevy, Peterbilt and various sizes.
• Diagnostics: use Mitchell 1 and ShopKey to trace electrical, DEF, and engine codes.
• Systems Work: brakes, A/C, electrical and hydraulics; no transmission rebuilds.
• Log hours/parts for customer billing.
