Job summary

Whiteline Express is expanding its Jackson Center, Ohio team and is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics. Whether you are an experienced mechanic seeking a supportive home or a newcomer eager for training, Whiteline has opportunities to grow.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on Class A trucks, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and offsite service calls. Work schedule is Monday–Friday with start times between 5:00 and 6:00 am and day ends 4:00–5:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working on heavy duty trucks and trailers; able to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and diesel engine problems.
• Ability to use battery and charging system test equipment.
• Basic welding skills (Mig, Oxy/Acl) for bodywork and parts.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet of Class A trucks and trailers, including component removal, cleaning, repair, reinstall, and adjustment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems, complete repairs, and rebuild equipment when needed (brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, electrical components, diesel engines).
• Evaluate work for safety and compliance with federal/state codes and company standards; conduct final inspection before release.
• Make service calls offsite as needed.
• Maintain schedule Mon-Fri with start times between 5:00 am and 6:00 am; finish around 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm depending on start time.
