United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV - CES) in Pascagoula, MS. You will maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment with limited supervision, ensuring safety and quality on every job.

The role includes travel to customer sites, training junior techs, and maintaining thorough work documentation while presenting equipment options to customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background.
• Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment when required.
• Assist in training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
