United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to maintain and repair a range of complex rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. You’ll contribute to service department leadership opportunities while delivering outstanding customer service.

In this role you’ll work with a team to diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and travel to job sites when required. Strong mechanical aptitude and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation (work orders) accurately and daily.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
