Job summary

Titan Machinery is hiring a Case IH Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel machinery. You will perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and reconditioning per manufacturer specs while communicating findings and timelines to the team and customers. Travel up to 75% is required, with on-site and field work.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, independent work, and ongoing technical development through training opportunities. A DOT medical certification and own tools are needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program.
• 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision.
• Clean driving record.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have or obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with overnights and work offsite/in the field.
• Ability to work flexible/on-call hours.
• Excellent attention to detail and initiative, ability to work independently.
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic, Repair, and Technical Expertise: Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications, ensuring high-quality and efficient workmanship
• Documentation and Communication: Communicate findings, repair needs, and expected timelines clearly and professionally with the Service Manager, service team, and customers while providing timely and courteous service
• Technical Development and Customer Focus: Participate in ongoing professional and technical training to maintain current product knowledge and service capabilities. Identify customer service opportunities and recommend solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and support department profitability
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work assignments

• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnights and perform 50% or more work offsite/in the field
• Ability to work flexible/on-call hours
• Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently
• Exceptional documentation and communication abilities
