Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of A/C, brakes, emissions, and air systems.
  • Clean driving record; CDL or forklift certification is a plus.

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition: Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $20/hr - $30/hr + Commission

Location: Cleveland, OH

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks following manufacturer procedures.
  • Diagnose vehicle failures through disassembly, repair, and reassembly of parts.
  • Inspect vital components to ensure proper operation.
  • Develop repair plans based on diagnostic findings.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork, including work orders and inspection documentation.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel repair and maintenance within a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple systems, including A/C, brakes, emissions, and air systems.
  • Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performing standard maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience with Carrier or Thermo King refrigeration maintenance and repair is a plus.
  • Basic welding, brazing, and use of oxygen and acetylene torches.
  • Clean driving record; CDL or forklift certification is a plus.
