Diesel Technician C - Pembroke Pines

We offer a comprehensive pay range based on skills and capability. Waste Pro supports your pursuit of ASE Certification through fee reimbursement, increased compensation, and a Master Technician Achievement Bonus. Technicians are also eligible for a monthly tool allowance of up to $50.

Summary of Position

Perform preventative maintenance on heavy and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Assist drivers with daily post-trip and safety inspections.
  2. Conduct safety checks during safety lane and preventive maintenance.
  3. Complete lubrication and repairs as scheduled.
  4. Learn and perform brake inspections and document accordingly.
  5. Perform basic repairs on various trucks and equipment.
  6. Communicate with technicians and drivers regarding vehicle issues and preventative techniques.
  7. Complete paperwork and data entry accurately and timely.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA standards.
  9. Use factory service manuals for repairs.
  10. Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.
  11. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Assist with pre/post-trip processes.
  • Identify visible repairs needed on vehicles.
  • Support fluid top-ups and basic maintenance.
  • Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments.
  • Support repairs of vehicle components.
  • Understand and use lubrication charts.
  • Assist in repairing engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems.
  • Knowledge of tools and basic computer skills.

No CDL required.

Other Responsibilities
  • Participate in training courses.
  • Stay updated on current technology used by Waste Pro.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical and Work Environment
