Summary:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on heavy and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. Welding and fabrication may be required.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Communicate effectively with management and drivers regarding vehicle issues and preventive measures.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Utilize electronic systems to diagnose failures and initiate repairs.
  • Conduct safety inspections and repairs using factory manuals.
  • Maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems diagnosis and repair.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
  • Ability to estimate repair times and materials.
  • Experience guiding assistant technicians and shop helpers.
  • CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in training courses as assigned.
  • Stay updated on current technology used by Waste Pro.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work in extreme weather, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Able to work inside and outside, in various weather conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment required.
