Job summary

WM is seeking an Assistant Diesel Mechanic in Van Buren, AR to service trucks and equipment. The role offers a starting wage of $18-$22 per hour, with a stable Monday–Friday schedule from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm and potential Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles to protect employees and communities.
• Document parts usage and repair times.
