Job summary

C & B Operations in South Dakota offers a full-time apprenticeship program where you learn by doing in a busy shop and advance toward John Deere certification.

You will travel to Mitchell, SD for one week each month for classroom instruction, with all travel, food, lodging, and tuition paid. After two to three years, you will return to the shop as a trained technician.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment.
• Ability to work full-time.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on John Deere agricultural equipment.
• Work with diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, and precision ag technology.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and software.
• Complete digital service documentation.
• Learn professional shop procedures and safety practices.
• Work alongside experienced technicians who mentor and train.

How It Works

Work in our shop full-time under experienced technicians.

Travel to Mitchell, South Dakota for 1 week each month for in-class instruction and hands-on learning. (Travel, Food, Lodging, and Class is all paid for)

Return to the shop and apply what you learned.

Repeat for 2-3 years (2 years with prior mechanic experience, 3 years with none).

NEED TOOLS?

-- We have a $3,000 and $7,500 package for you to choose from. Work for us for 3 years and the tools are yours.

Earn money while earning your John Deere Apprenticeship Certification WHILE getting work experience.
