Job summary

Transdev in Forest Park, GA is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across vehicles and equipment. You will work with a team to ensure safety, efficiency, and fleet reliability while contributing to ongoing maintenance programs.

The role requires ASE certification and a tool set; DOT drug testing applies. Opportunities exist to advance to Mechanic A with increased pay and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues using advanced tools.
• Perform moderate repairs on diesel engine components to ensure optimal function.
• Assist senior mechanics with diagnostics and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests and determine repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Overhaul and rebuild components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Other duties as required.
