Qualifications

  • Must have a complete set of repair tools.

  • Inspect and replace components as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our growing Fleet Maintenance Department at our Johnston, RI shop.

Why Pyle?
  • Pay Rate: $28.00 - $43.00 per hour based on experience and skillset
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit; benefits and paid time off
  • Shift differential of $4.00 per hour
  • 11:00 PM start time, Sunday through Thursday
  • Overtime pay after 40 hours
  • Company-funded Tool Reimbursement Program

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks
  • Troubleshooting and repairing brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, etc.
  • Diagnosing and repairing engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems
  • Inspecting and replacing components as needed

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience repairing/maintaining Class 8 trucks
  • A complete set of heavy-duty truck repair tools
  • Vocational or Technical Training in diesel or heavy-duty vehicles; HS Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • A willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to work independently with a positive attitude
