The hours and location you’ll work in as a Diesel Mechanic with WM:

• 2nd Shift Monday – Friday 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm
• 3rd Shift Sunday – Thursday 9:00 pm to 5:30 am
• We’re committed to offering you stable hours for the financial security and work-life balance you need.
• The normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop at our Newark, OH hauling site.

What you’ll do as a Diesel Mechanic:

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on repairs and parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to emergency breakdown service calls.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles to ensure safety for all employees and the community.
• Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assist senior Mechanics with project work.
• Review and complete repairs on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and safety procedures.

Minimum requirements to be considered:

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Be over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without accommodations
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and physical

Work environment and physical demands:
