Job Description

As a Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift, you will be joining a team that provides company-paid continued education and training, invests in up-and-coming technicians entering the workforce, and takes pride in providing clean shops with the latest tooling and computer diagnostic equipment.

Relocation support is available for qualified candidates on a case-by-case basis. Interested candidates are encouraged to discuss this with the hiring manager during the interview stage.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs following OEM standards
  • Adhere to safety guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Work Environment & Physical Abilities
  • Full range of motion including handling, lifting, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
  • Sitting, standing, bending, and stooping for prolonged periods
  • Occasional lifting up to 80 pounds
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range
  • Ability to operate machinery of varying complexity
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a good MVR
  • Motivated and able to work independently
  • Familiarity with gas and diesel truck repair, including engine, transmission, electrical diagnostics, suspension, and brakes
  • Complete set of hand tools with a rollaway toolbox
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to pass assessments, background check, physical, and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks and medium/heavy-duty RVs
  • Diesel Engine Technology Certifications or Education
  • Experience with Freightliner and/or Western Star vehicles
