Role Overview

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosis, preventive maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment. This role supports all aspects of mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles, machinery, equipment, and facilities.

Shop Manager

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
• Work under limited supervision using written instructions and established procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards
• Utilize vehicle electronic systems to interpret failure modes
• Perform emergency breakdown service calls
• Conduct annual safety checks on vehicles
• Complete paperwork using fleet maintenance software
• Assist other mechanics and review repair reports

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations
• Pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
• Ability to handle heavy objects and work in various environments
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Compensation & Employment Details

Salary: $25-$35 per hour
