Diesel Mechanic (2nd Shift 4pm-4am) – Waxahachie, Texas

Waste Connections | $25–$30/hr | Full-Time + OT + Benefits

Join Waste Connections as a Diesel Mechanic and keep our fleet running strong! We’re hiring experienced techs to perform maintenance and repairs on garbage trucks—covering everything from hydraulics and electrical to engine systems. This is a hands-on, outdoor role for someone who takes pride in their work and values safety.

What We Offer:
• $25.00–$30.00/hour based on experience Estimated at $72,000.00-$98.000.00 Per Year
• $150/month tool allowance + annual boot stipend
• Full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K match, Life Insurance)
• Consistent hours: 50–60 hrs/week, Mon–Fri + some Saturdays
• Year-round stability + safety-first culture

What You’ll Do:
• Perform preventative maintenance & inspections
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
• Handle on-road breakdowns and emergency calls
• Keep shop clean, organized, and safe
• Accurately document all work performed

Requirements:
• 3+ years of diesel or heavy truck experience
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• ASE cert and CDL (A or B) a strong plus
• Reliable, hard-working, and safety-minded
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
