Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Ingles Markets is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its transportation fleet located in Black Mountain, NC. As a Diesel Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

1. Performing mechanic work on the fleet’s diesel engine machinery and tractor trailers in a garage setting.
2. Welding and using hand tools and equipment for repairs.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting pay at $21.79/hr.
• Multiple shifts available; shift differential may apply.

Employment Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Criminal Background Check required.
• Must pass an E-Verify screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift light to moderate weights.
• Ability to climb onto tractors to perform repairs.
• Capability to work overhead and underneath tractors or trailers.
• Stand on concrete floors during work.

Experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong work ethic and excellent attendance.
• Experience in garage mechanic work; 2 years in tractor or trailer maintenance preferred.
• ASE master certification in brakes preferred; additional certification pay may apply.
