A leading company is looking for a Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on diesel and non-diesel trucks. This second shift role involves tasks such as engine repair, suspension maintenance, and using diagnostic tools to ensure safe operations. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience and a valid CDL.
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. The following description outlines general tasks; this posting aims to fill maintenance roles ranging from preventive maintenance to a Master Tech level.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, a Mechanic performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Basic tire work such as replacement, rotation, and tread checks may also be performed. This role is primarily for the second shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM).
