Job summary

Greek Peak Mountain Resort is seeking a skilled Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain snow groomers and heavy equipment year-round. You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support emergency repairs on outdoor mountain equipment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics, with independent troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently.
• License: Valid driver’s license required.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred; snow groomer or tracked equipment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Repair: troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and drivetrains on heavy equipment.
• Preventative Maintenance: perform scheduled maintenance on snow groomers, loaders, excavators, tractors, and other mountain operations equipment.
• Fabrication & Welding: handle welding, fabrication, and general equipment repairs as needed.
• Service Records: maintain accurate service records and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Emergency Response: respond to equipment breakdowns and assist with emergency repairs during mountain operations.
• Support Operations: work closely with the Mountain Operations team to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Are you a skilled diesel mechanic who thrives in a hands-on environment and loves a good mechanical challenge? Join our Mountain Operations team, where you’ll keep our snow groomers and heavy equipment running safely and efficiently all year long. If you enjoy troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems and working outdoors in a setting most mechanics never get to see, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and drivetrains on heavy equipment.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on snow groomers, loaders, excavators, tractors, and other mountain operations equipment.

Who We're Looking For:

• Independence: Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment on your own.
• Bonus Skills: Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Snow groomer or tracked equipment experience is a plus, but not required.
• Physical Capability: Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• License: A valid driver’s license is required.
