Job summary

Moffitt Services in Texas is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections, and ensure preventative maintenance. You will keep records and support a rotating schedule, with potential nights, weekends or holidays as needed.

The role requires 3-5 years of diesel experience; preferred ASE/MHD certifications and CDL Hazmat Tanker credentials. Relocation is not offered, with local and regional travel. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience or equivalent.
• High school or equivalent required; ASE certification(s) and/or CDL Hazmat Tanker a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance including hydraulics, air brakes, steering and suspension, lighting, diesel engine, air conditioning, fluids, oil changes, and general repairs.
• Reconditioning and replacing parts; welding and cutting parts as needed.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and complete maintenance logs and work orders.

Education

High school or equivalent (Preferred) ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certification and/or Diesel Mechanic Certification CDL Hazmat Tanker, a plus

Moffitt Services is looking to expand our team. We are currently hiring a Diesel Mechanic who will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment by completing inspections and preventative maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; and keeping records.

Qualifications

• Performing vehicle maintenance, including hydraulics, air brakes, steering and suspension, lighting, electric, diesel engine, air conditioning, fluid levels and oil changes, and general repairs and maintenance.
• Reconditioning and replacing parts.
• May weld and cut parts using arc-welding and flame-cutting equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and equipment.
• Completing maintenance logs and work orders.

Experience

Education

High school or equivalent (Preferred) ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certification and or Diesel Mechanic Certification CDL Hazmat Tanker, a plus PTO Experience, a plus Tanker Experience, a plus PACCAR Davie4 and/or Cummins INSITE experience, a plus
