Interstate PowerSystems is seeking both Mid-level and Experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) for our Sioux Falls, South Dakota location. The role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, ensuring quality work, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's license required; CDL is a bonus.
  • Must be physically able to lift and work without restrictions.
  • Experience with diesel engine platforms such as Detroit Diesel, Cummins, CAT, & International.

Interstate Power Systems is looking for both Mid-level and Experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) for our Sioux Falls, South Dakota location. We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) to join our team who are specializing in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more! We provide continued training, education, and certification opportunities to all Technician employees

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties:
  • Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components in trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
  • Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
  • Meet requirements for certifications.
  • Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
  • Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
  • Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
  • Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
  • Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train and Automatic Transmissions.
