Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Knowledge of concrete mixer trucks is a plus.
  • Available for overtime and swing shifts if needed.

Job description

Holliday Rock is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our fleet maintenance team. The Diesel Mechanic performs engine and emission maintenance, repairs on trucks and equipment, and can also handle drive train components, suspension, and steering systems repairs on heavy-duty trucks. Experience with concrete mixer trucks is a plus.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Remove components for repair or replacement such as injectors, starters, water pumps, radiators, and brakes.
  • Maintain knowledge of vehicle engines, emission systems, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical systems for preventive and repair maintenance both on-site and on the road.
  • Perform engine chassis repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain and repair vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning systems in vehicles.
  • Operate welding tools safely to repair heavy equipment efficiently.
  • Identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure fleet compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards, including preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of concrete ready-mix trucks, pneumatic trucks and trailers, Cummins engines, and emission systems.
