- Technician In Charge Positions Pay Each Week
- Hourly Pay: $38.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
- Tool Box/Tool Allowance
- Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
- Hours: Second Shift 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification, Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including:
- Routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
- Diagnostics and repairs (AC, electrical systems)
- Major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, or automotive fuel injection repairs
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
- Ability to read codes and instructions on the computer
- Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, and related systems
- Minimum tool requirement
- Experience with computerized maintenance programs
- Valid CDL CLASS A preferred
- All other certifications as required by location
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications
- Minimum Tech II up to Tech IV qualifications plus 6 months supervisory or training experience
- Flexible schedule including shift work, weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Proficiency in SMO, SBT, payroll systems, warranty recovery, and employee handbook
- Understanding of Unit utilization procedures
- Note: Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles, obtain CDL within 6 months, pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background check.
Internal Candidates: Minimum 6 months in current position with good performance, attendance, safety, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Assist and train Technicians, provide customer service, and give feedback to the Service Manager.
- Oversee parts, inventory, shop reporting, warranty recovery, unit tracking, payroll, and other duties.
