Diesel Mechanic – Full‑time, Permanent – Bergen, NJ

PRS is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in a full‑time permanent position. You will be an employee of Pacific Rail Services, not of the Railroad.

Compensation

• Hourly pay with yearly income potential of $45,000–$60,000 per year (includes overtime)
• Pay rate commensurate with experience

Shift

• Day shift, 24/7 call‑out availability

Candidates

• Minimum 2‑year experience in the mechanical field and preventative maintenance minded
• Must have own tools (yearly tool allowance provided)
• Experience and knowledge of air, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems and components
• Valid driver’s license

Primary Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts, company vehicles, and hostler fleet
• Maintain hostler fleet
• Assist in other areas as needed by managers
