Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions seeks a Diesel Truck/Trailer Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. You will complete work orders with proper coding, and manage warranty returns when needed.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing fleet equipment, maintaining safety and compliance, and communicating needs for tools and supplies. Weekly pay is provided along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• CDL license preferred; relevant truck/trailer maintenance experience.
• Experience in advanced diagnostics for diesel fleet equipment.
• Technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with Diesel specialty.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Complete detailed work orders with condition, cause, and corrective actions; finalize warranty processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Identify unsafe conditions and equipment issues and communicate with management.

Job description

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

As a Diesel Truck/Trailer Maintenance Mechanic at Ecowaste Solutions, you will be performing preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. Your responsibilities will include completing work orders with proper coding such as reason for repair, detailed description of condition, cause, and correction, as well as properly completing the warranty process. Safety, accuracy and attention to detail are critical in these roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly.
• Informs management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions and unsafe work practices, and suggests corrective actions.
• Identifies and informs management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment and takes steps to solve issue if possible.
• Correctly completes complex work orders with proper description of condition, cause and correction, including properly completing a warranty return tag as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Performed additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid state issued CDL driver's license preferred
• Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with specialty in Diesel.
• Experience in advanced diagnostics.
