Responsibilities
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicle operation to diagnose malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
  • Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks, making adjustments as needed.
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper operation.
  • Complete assigned service and repairs accurately.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Participate in technical training as directed by management.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Return guest vehicles in the same condition as received.
  • Follow manufacturer policies for warranty repairs, labor operations, and documentation.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor or management.
Qualifications
  • Ability to repair various makes of engines, on-highway trucks, and trailers.
  • Allison Transmission experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with computer diagnostic programs is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of repair standards per dealer and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly.
  • Own tools required.
  • Experience with Freightliner/Western Star, Volvo/Mack, Kenworth/Peterbilt, International, or Mitsubishi.
  • Experience with CAT, Detroit, Cummins, or International engines is a plus.
