Job Description: Diesel Mechanic with $5000 SIGN ON BONUS
Little Rock, AR, United States (On-site)

PAY: $25.75/hour with opportunities for additional incentives for ASE & Cummins Certifications

SIGN ON BONUS: $5000

SHIFT: 2nd Shift, 2PM-11:30PM, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed

TOOL ALLOWANCE: $2000/year

I. Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance, inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works under limited supervision, following written instructions and established procedures.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Uses vehicle electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Estimates time and material costs, requisitions parts.
• Completes repairs within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Performs emergency breakdown service calls.
• Conducts safety checks and completes required paperwork using fleet management software.
• Assists senior mechanics with project work.
• Reviews and completes Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications

• Education: Not required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

V. Work Environment

Primarily in repair/maintenance shop, involving exposure to dirt, noise, weather, and physical risks. Must use motor coordination and exert physical effort as required.
